Studio terms of service

1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Pilates by Piper website, member portal, and in-studio services (collectively, the "Services") operated by Pilates by Piper ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account, booking a session, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. Eligibility & invite-only access
The studio operates on an invite-only basis. Accounts are issued at our discretion and may not be transferred, sold, or shared. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for providing accurate information and for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. Authentication & account security
Sign-in uses a one-time code (OTP) delivered by SMS to the mobile number on file. You consent to receive transactional authentication messages from us and from our messaging provider. Message and data rates may apply. You are responsible for keeping your phone number current and your device secure. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
4. Bookings, cancellations & no-shows
Sessions must be reserved through the member portal. Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time are eligible for rescheduling. Cancellations inside the 24-hour window and no-shows are charged in full. Schedules, pricing, and availability may change without notice.
5. Health & assumption of risk
Reformer Pilates is a physical activity that carries inherent risk of injury. You represent that you are physically able to participate and that you have consulted a qualified medical professional regarding any condition that may affect your participation. You voluntarily assume all risks associated with your use of the Services and release Pilates by Piper, its instructors, and its affiliates from liability for any injury, loss, or damage to the fullest extent permitted by law.
6. Studio etiquette
Arrive on time, follow instructor guidance, and respect the privacy of other members. Photography and recording inside the studio are not permitted without prior written consent. We reserve the right to refuse or terminate access for conduct that is unsafe, disruptive, or inconsistent with the studio's standards.
7. Payments
Fees for sessions, packages, and memberships are charged at the rates in effect at the time of purchase. All payments are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. You authorize us to charge your designated payment method for any amounts due.
8. Intellectual property
The Services, including all text, images, logos, programming, and software, are the property of Pilates by Piper or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written permission.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to (a) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account or system, (b) interfere with the operation of the Services, (c) use the Services for any unlawful purpose, or (d) reverse-engineer or scrape the Services. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
10. Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pilates by Piper will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of or related to your use of the Services. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will not exceed the amounts you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pilates by Piper and its instructors, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your use of the Services or your breach of these Terms.
13. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Santa Barbara County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Services or by email. Your continued use of the Services after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the changes.
